About the Staff

Sandra Stoutamire, Office Administrator

When you call the office of Dr. John Ferullo or visit us the first person you will likely speak with or be greeted by will be me. However, anyone here you talked with by phone or are scheduled to see when you visit is always ready to help you. That’s because we all share a common goal: we want to make your experience in going to the dentist as easy and as comfortable as possible. Previously, I have been an executive assistant to CEOs and General Agents for a couple of different financial institutions. I decided to go into dentistry about eight years ago because I really enjoy working with people on more of a one-on-one basis, without the hectic pace of the business world. If you haven’t made an appointment yet with us, I hope you will. You’ll find Dr. Ferullo and his staff will take care of your dental needs quickly, professionally and in such a manner you won’t mind returning again for whatever dental services you need in the future. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, painting and exercising. I look forward to meeting you.

Cindy Ninis, Dental Hygienist

To those visiting our Web site, we are pleased to have you. I'm Cindy Ninis. I am a native of St. Petersburg and started my dental career when I was just 15, working part-time as a dental assistant. After graduating from high school, I entered Dental Hygiene School at St. Petersburg College, graduating in 1978. I began my career working for the late Dr. John Stewart. In 1988, Dr. Ferullo bought the practice from Dr. Stewart. But for me nothing changed; I simply went to work for Dr. Ferullo and have been with him ever since. Many people who stay in the same position throughout much of the career do so because they love what they do. And I'm not any different. I've worked for more than 26 years for the same dental practice for many reasons. I have found it to be a wonderful experience to work with three generations of patients. Many of these patients are like family to me. I've watched patients grow up and now have their own children. I also work with a great group of people in a beautiful office setting. My husband, Rich, and I have two children, Cassie and Colby, both of whom keep us busy. But when I do find time for myself, I like to read, care for my African violets and shop.

Susan Wright, Dental Hygienist

Hello, my name is Susan Wright. I have been working in dentistry for most of my adult life, going back to 1973. As a teenager, I was fascinated by the profession, always asking my dentist questions. The next thing I knew I was working for him as his dental assistant. I got my education as a dental hygienist, by earning an A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville in 1980. I think anyone who has a job as a dental hygienist has to like people. They have to be a "people person." That pretty much describes me and meeting people is one of the best things about my job...that and helping people...in my case, getting people's teeth and gums healthy. With a husband and two teenage children, most of my free time is taken up with family. My husband and I try to be involved with our children's school activities as much as possible. I also volunteer my time with Pet Pal Rescue in St. Petersburg. It's a non-profit organization that rescues dogs and cats from animal shelters, where they may otherwise be euthanized for various reasons. I will look forward to meeting you soon!

Rebecca Smith, Dental Assistant

Whether you are a current patient of Dr. John Ferullo or planning to be one in the near future after visiting this Web site, I want you to know I hope to meet you soon. I say that because I truly enjoy what I do. In fact, I have been involved in dentistry for most of my life. My mother is a dental assistant, too, and I decided to follow in her footsteps after graduating from high school. I achieved my goal by attending Southeastern Technical Institute in Massachusetts, receiving my certification in Dental Assisting in 1996. I been practicing my trade ever since. This was a good career choice for me because it has given me a chance to help people feel better about themselves by having beautiful smiles. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors and going to the beach for walks: activities I can do pretty much year round which makes living in Florida extra special.

Delilah McNeil, Dental Assistant

Let me begin by saying it has been a privilege to work for Dr. Ferullo for nearly a decade, but in many ways it seems like yesterday. That's because I love my work. We have wonderful patients. I have found it incredibly exciting to work with them. And I cannot say enough good things about my co-workers. We have an exceptional team of people. I began my career in dentistry at the Pinellas Technical Education Center (PTEC), where I studied Dental Assisting. I have since gone on to further studies at St. Petersburg College. Whatever free time I have is taken up with my husband, Michael, and our three children, Anthony, Michael and VaCelia.
